Have bought two of these now for different Mil group La Pavoni machines. Good for both analysis of your tamping and puck distribution, and for the aesthetics as you pull the shot.

There is just something so appealing about a bottomless portafilter.

I have a 2020 La Pavoni Europiccola. This fits perfectly and is a pleasure to use.

カップ自体はノーマルと同じで、名の通り底があるかないかの違いなので抽出されるものは変わらないはず。でも網を通って出てくる液体の状態を目視できるだけで格段に淹れやすくなりました。グリップとカップはノーマルを流用できるので、ボトムレス部分だけ安く販売してくれると嬉しい。

I believe this is original LaPavoni part, not a replacement. Did not have opportunity to compare against non-original, so I'm unable to say if this one is 'better' in any way. But it's ok. Spring holding the basket is quite loose in mine, but you can easily bend it and get more tension. Comes with basket (big plus). You don't need tamping 'station' since bottom is flat. Great for observing extraction. And you can wipe all the crema from bottom of it with the cup. BTW, original LaPavonis are hard to get. I ordered in UK because couldn't find one closer to my place. Overall impression 5/5.

Wouldn't have thought swapping from my old porterfilter to a bottomless one would have had a great an effect as it did. The Expresso Shop were efficient and great value for money.
