adequately round and appears to form an seal in all the right places. not as impressed as I was with the other seal that I bought, but c'est assez bon et je suis très content à ma aquisition.

I was worried that I'd bought a rubbish replacement as this doesn't seem at first like it fits in the groove - but just give it a slight nudge and it will sit correctly in the slot for a perfect fit - fantastic!

This was suggested by your engineer instead of the regular black rubber o ring. It did the job and sealed the boiler on my gagia classic which I had stripped to clean and descale.
Great tip and brilliant service.

I was shopping for spares for a 1988 Gaggia Espresso made in Italy. Although it has had the odd simple descaling, the machine is entirely as purchased. I recently decided that it deserved a boiler descale, including a new gasket.

Close inspection of the boiler suggested some slight seepage at the joint line but it was very dry. I bought the EPDM version and the silicone version, and decided to fit the silicone one and keep the EPDM one as a spare. Having removed the original 1988 EPDM gasket, on inspection then it seemed in good condition and might have been reused in an emergency!
