Gaggia Classic (Pre - 2015) Service Kit From  £39.60

In Australia, the temp switches alone were over $20 AUD each.Finding a kit like this which included everything I could need for an overhaul was awesome. For $45 AUD (inc postage), the parts arrived. The parts diagram made it easy to select the right o-ring for the right spot. The sachet of food grease was ample for the task. My machine which was purchased 17yrs ago is performing just like it did when it was new.

did a complete service of my 15 year old gaga classica and this kit is great. really recommend. note however that my machine was so badly scaled I needed much more descaling so would suggest you buy some extra just in case...

This refresh kit has high quality components, which are easily identified and installed as per the included instruction sheet, which is a clearly copied exploded parts diagram supplied by the manufacturer. The item was safely and promptly shipped from the UK to my US address. No worries - just right. The large portafilter group gasket is of higher quality, and is more supple and flexible, than others I have used.

Very cost effective way of getting most of what you may need to service your machine. I didn't need all of it for my repair but the extras cost almost nothing over just buying the bits I needed and I've got them in my just-in-case box.

After very little maintenance for 12yr this kit has refreshed my Gaggia classic nicely.
Mainly needed the group seal replacing, but on inspection the others were well in need of a swap too.
Haven't changed the thermostats yet as I think mine existing ones are OK, but now have spares if required.
Good value.

This kit was just the thing I needed to get my machine running proper again. My Gaggia Classic was heating too high and spewing out boiling hot burned coffee. The new thermostats corrected that problem. The new group head gasket was nice also. I should have changed that out a few years ago.

Comprehensive kit and all good quality materials unlike some of the cheap aftermarket kits.

I have purchased several replacement parts for my Gaggia Classic (pre 2015 model) from The Espresso Shop and all have been perfect.
The service from this company is exceptional. With one internet order I made a mistake with my delivery instructions and after a short phone call they sorted it and made sure I had my parts the next day.

My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that I wished I'd been given just a bit more written instruction. The very helpful exploded diagram of the components was useful but, as a complete novice I would like to have been told, for instance, to descale before the service rather than after. Also a bit more info about the little tube of sealant; was it for the gaskets or just the thermostats where there was evidence of it having been used previously? Anyway my aged machine is now working much better since servicing and I shall buy from the Espresso Shop again.

The kit has everything you need (apart from tools) except for the heat sink compound that is used to improve the thermal junction between the temperature switches and the boiler. I had to try and salvage some from the old switches, a less than satisfactory solution.
