Solid knob, well delivered. My previous knob slid around quite a bit and sometimes slipped off altogether. Not ideal. New knob provides a satisfying feeling of tight closure. If your Gaggia Classic knob feels worn out, this is definitely a worthwhile investment.

Restored my machine to be like new. Would have been useful to know which way to fit it. An online search revealed that the metal key sits against the curve of the steam pin.

This is an excellent replacement part which was used as part of a full service for my gaggia classic. It includes the metal spring clip which goes brittle with time. The Gaggia classic is an excellent work top espresso machine which is easy to service at home with limited skills and tools and parts are readily available.

I am so glad I got this--steam spindle is fine but the old knob was eaten away and no longer gripping--kind of floating around and dangerous because steam was hard to turn off. Took the old knob off and put this one on--everything worked perfectly after that! wish I'd got it sooner--thanks guys! xx

Replaced one where the little metal bit had got lost. Be careful you don’t lose yours when cleaning or you’ll end up like me having to spend a lot on a new knob
