Excellent upgrade, wish I replaced the stock steam wand with this one when I first bought my Gaggia Classic years ago!

This was a replacement for a similar conversion I did a few years back. This now needed replacing so I was very used to the Rancilo conversion and the excellent results it produces. The first replacement a few years back already had the male Gaggia nut already installed but this one came with the larger female Rancilo securing nut which of course does not fit onto the Gaggia Classic. So the fixing nut had to be changed to fit the Gaggia. The Espresso shop staff (Glen) was very helpful, even though it was a Bank Holiday and late in the day and the change was achieved ok. So great product, involving some small degree of work to change the fixing nut, with great support from Glen. Thank you.

This is really a great upgrade to my old Gaggia Classic, purchased about twenty years ago and rebuilt twice using parts from The Espresso Shop (we have very hard water, which is death to solenoid valves!). The steam my machine now produces is exceptionally good, although I need to improve my barista skills further to get the best out of it. One comment though... it would be very useful to clarify on site that the nut has to be removed from the old steam tube in order to replace the chrome on one this item. This was sorted with very friendly advice over the phone, but clear online information was lacking.

Great service from The Espresso Shop. Not quite as straight forward to install. You need to:-
- remove the rubber grommet on the new tube
- remove the retaining nut and washer - you don't need it.
- from your old tube, you need to remove the retaining nut and install on the new tube
- you will need some kind of hammer to bend the old tube to get the nut off.
- install nut and rubber grommet onto new tube
- install on your gaggia

You have to teach yourself how to froth milk again. This steam tube requires a different technique to frothing milk.

I'm still trying to work it out after two weeks (frothing milk that is).
