Hi - can you please explain the difference between this shower plate holder and the one on

This is an OEM Gaggia commercial shower plate holder. The cheaper one is also suitable for commercial or as more widely used with domestic Gaggia machines to replace the alloy original.
The extra flow holes allow a slightly more even distribution of water with busy commercial machines.

I have a Gaggia Classic (2002) and have compared the images of this commercial shower holder plate to the OEM aluminum original. It appears that the face where the shower screen is attached has a raised hole (that the shower retaining screw is fastened to) whereas the OEM shower holder plate has a flat face. Is there any issues with securing the OEM shower screen to this replacement part?

There is no issue connecting the shower holder or the screen to the shower holder, what you will find is the shower screen doesn't sit as flat but slightly convex which gives a good contact with the coffee.
