Much better than the OEM part - I removed one that was seriously pitted, which isn't good. Stainless is a better material, plus its large thermal mass (like the bronze versions) means that it cools down less as water flows through it.

Especially if you live in a soft water area, replacing the alloy filter with one of these is a good idea.

Replacement for very manky corroded original.
Solid, well machined and fits perfectly.
As part of a complete overhaul (boiler and valve strip, clean and new seals) I am delighted with the overall performance.

The quality of the part is a very high standard. This improved the temp of the machine. Now it heats up to 70c faster. The original aluminium head was not up to standard.

Got this to replace a worn out aluminium one, had the option of brass, but i hate the way brass begins to patina, the stainless is perfect for me,and paired with the Gaggia Nanotech shower plate my coffees are so much better.

It is very confusing to choose the right one, this is 100% steel, the second one is chromed-plated brass and I was not sure if the descaling product could strip off the chrome or not. Someone said that the third one brass version can pass the smell to coffee.
I would recommend to remove the aluminium plate before is too late and doesn’t come off anymore.

I bought this along with gaskets, shower screen and nuts to replace the 8yrs old ones in my Gaggia, the above is solid, well made and better than the original.its solid . I took apart the machine completely, boiler and all cleansed with puly descaler .The Gaggia is back in action thanks to the new parts that completely transform the Old machine .the parts are all fit for purpose I was able to match them with the diagram on Espresso user friendly website which are detailed and precise.Well done Espresso and Whole latte love on youtube for ur guidance , you saved me lots of money.
