I am hopeful that the tubular handle design on this one will prove to be more durable than the oval ones that eventually cracked and broke on the previous two portafilters I had (the original and a similar replacement).

I bought this as a replacement for the portafilter that came with my Gaggia Classic due to a broken handle. This one seems much more sturdy and seems well made. It seems to be a better fit than the original as well.

I own a Gaggia Caffe and the old Portafilter handle cracked and split. The like for like replacement on the Gaggia site was £62, this was £26 and fits perfectly, possibly better than the original! The filter is actually a little finer than the original so produces a better crema on espresso. Arrived quickly, was not over packed and does an excellent job. Its great.

Good replacement for original (handle had broken after many years daily use). Handle feels solid. Spouts are different to my original, and leave a bit less room for a cup under the portafilter, height-wise, but no problem (is now just over 65mm clearance). Comes with a ridged basket - holds in place better than plain original when knocking out puck, but needs prising out if want to separate it from the holder - can't do it with fingernails.

Replacement for the original older style portafilter - the handle broke after ten years! This one has great build quality and extra leverage to cinch up to the seal! lovely finish too, worth the money!

Better performer than the original Portafiller! And the basket is a good size. The product feels well-made and works exactly as expected. Totally satisfied with the service - and the price too.

Looks much more elegant than the original and the handle is much more substantial, with a sensible twist attachment to the portafilter, rather than the screw that I stripped the head off trying to get it out to replace the broken, flimsy original handle. I have gone through 2 or 3 of the original-style handles, with none of them ever being attached quite right - this looks much more likely to last.

Better designed (aesthetically and for durability). Feels and looks as if it will last forever. Very satisfied with purchase.
