Normal plastic products deteriorate over time. However, it can be used almost permanently by changing it to this. If you want, I want it made of stainless steel.

Its baffling as to why The original item is plastic that degrades, becomes brittle and is at risk of cracking. This brass version of the connector is much better and surely wouldn't be much more expensive applied as an original component.
