This is a beautifully-made portafilter holder. The wooden handle is a huge improvement over the cheap plastic stock handle. - A few notes on the stock handle: it's a poorly designed hollow plastic shell. It can come loose easily, but you need a deep socket wrench to tighten, something not everyone has. Also, the plastic connects right at a stress point, so it's prone to cracking...which is what happened to mine.) The wood on this replacement handle is solid and has a nice heft to it. It has a perfect smooth finish, and I'm looking forward to seeing it how it gains some character as it ages. - Beyond the wooden handle, the portafilter holder itself is a perfect fit in the machine, no issues. The basket that comes with is CAVERNOUS, so I am using a smaller 18g basket instead. - Overall, this is my favorite upgrade so far on my Gaggia Classic Pro. It's a fairly popular entry level machine, so I'm surprised how few people out there are making replacement portafilters holders for this unit. No wonder this one sells out so much — it's an excellent product in its own right, made more desirable by the fact there are very few alternatives. Get it, and if it's sold out, sign up for a stock reminder. Totally worth it.
