Consumable item used when I refurbished my coffee machine

I was shopping for spares for a 1988 Gaggia Espresso made in Italy. Although it has had the odd simple descaling, the machine is entirely as purchased. I recently decided that it deserved a boiler descale, including a new gasket. Not surprisingly, items were not identified for our specific machine but I suspected that there was substantial similarity with the pre 2015 Classic model.

Close inspection suggested some slight seepage at the joint line but it was very dry. I bought the EPDM version and the silicone version, and decided to fit the silicone one and keep the EPDM one as a spare. Having removed the original EPDM gasket, on inspection then it seemed in good condition and might have been reused in an emergency.
