Pretty simple repair - if I had read some instructions first. Good advice - do not use a spanner as you will just shear off the screw. Hand tighten into the thermal conducting grease only.

My machine was producing steam through the head so I replaced the thermostat with this one which was ac10 minute job. It now works perfectly. Great product, good price, quick service. What more could you want?

Great product. My espresso machine is working properly again, making lovely smooth espresso as it is supposed to.

The Gaggia Classic is a great machine, but to pull great shots, I had to open the steam wand for the first 8-10 sec of the brew time to avoid burnt/bitter shots. Looking into this I found out that the water was way too hot. With this thermostat problem solved. Now coffee tastes good from shot to shot and coffee is brewing at the right temperature.

Our coffee machine now does perfect coffees with the 100° thermostat as the one that came with the machine is fine if you use the steamer but it burns the coffee making it bitter, our coffees our smooth now with a good crema topping.
